Autumn Song

As the leaves change their colors
As the wind blows yet unseen
As my eyes wander at the beauty around me
My mind tries to grasp Your majesty.

Power, authority, is Yours alone
But what really moves me
Are Your mercies new daily.

Unfailing love that holds me
Lifting me up to a place of dignity
Where I cannot walk on my own
But You've walked this road
Yes, Lord, You've walked
To carry me home.

I hear the children's laughter
The best music there is
My heart is rich with longing for the day
When You'll be calling out my name.

'Glory! Glory!' will be my song
'Cause You alone are worthy
You were slain in place for me.

Unfailing love that holds me
Lifting me up to a place of dignity
Where I cannot walk on my own
But You've walked this road
Yes, Lord, You've walked
To carry me home.

To carry me home.

Inspired by the scene outside the window as I paused from my morning chores. :)

I'm that woman by the window, gazing far, longing and living hope. It won't be long when I get to see my dreams fulfilled. The best one is when I get to see my Savior's face. He is coming as He so promised. Yes, He is!

Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely come. (Habakkuk 2:3)
